I Want You to Hear This Song Ep. 2

"If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."  So, no comment on the Super Bowl Pepsi Halftime Show from Miss DJ Jenny McG. Mum's the word on that one. Yep--nothing to say. Not even about the Bass Pro Shop clearance table threads. Silence.

I Want You to Hear This Song Ep.1

I care about you. I really do.

That's why I want you to hear this NSFW song.

And I want to know: Who's your "They"?

The Patriots? (It's ok to bleed green here. Bring it.)

The chick who gave you side eye when you were giving your complicated order at the coffee shop this morning? (Tastes, good, right?)

The dude who called you out for having an opinion that wasn't his? ($20 he's listening to Nickelback right now.)

I mean, you don't have to tell me, but Im here to listen. Holla back at me in the comment section and I'll tell you who my They is.

Say you made a New Year's resolution to quit cussin' and F*k They was too much for your ears.

In that case, I want you to hear this song that your kids probably have on repeat.

Not bad for a couple of Brown grads. The dude Tucker was on track to play in the NBA post-college but got sidelined with recurring bouts of the Epstein-Barr virus.

Not enough to keep and Ivyman down, he got into dj'ing, met this girl Sophie at a gig and the rest is indie history.

Their new album, Soft Animals, contains 6 tracks, all of which are listenable at the very least--rare.

Touring worldwide via the festival circuit, Philly has the privlege of enjoying  them onstage at the Union Transfer on April 19th. If we're lucky enough, The Knocks, NERVO and maybe Alisa Ueno will join them. Hipster heaven.

These kids are going places. Get on board now, or be f*ked. Don't be they.

My favorite song: Halloween

I'm all Thriller'ed out. You?

That being said, Michael Jackson's backup vocals on Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me" are some of his cleanest vocals (in my opin'n) of his 80s reign.

Before you head out with pillowcase in hand this evening, give these three beats a listen.

Sometimes people get you down, off track & questioning your self worth. Happens to everyone. Everyone with a  brain and a heart, I guess.

Those sometimes suck.

That's when you need "The Jam Session for One."

Here are 4 jams in my Session for One that I've had on loop repeat lately.  Click on each link to listen.

Haters gonna hate, but "God doesn't create junk" I was told recently.

Good stuff. So are these tunes:

Sprinting to the finish line

Anyone else limping into summer on fumes?

Making this turn left onto Ocean Drive in Avalon today, is the beginning of my three month long re-fueling with 93 octane.

If you're in Avalon or Stone Harbor this summer, please check back to www.jenmcgowanGO.com for my teaching schedule as I'm delighted to be teaching barre and spin in my favorite seven mile stretch of God's green earth.
